Discover Ease in Movement with Alexander Technique

This workshop is about discovering ease and authenticity in movement. The Alexander Technique provides tools to improve kinesthetic awareness, mindfulness in activity and wholeness of being. We’ll explore how to release excess tension and activate the necessary support through whole body coordination based on a healthy head-spine relationship. You’ll discover how to change unconscious patterns of unneeded effort as you direct your energy in an efficient way. Open to everyone interested in movement.
Permaculture Design Series for Your Landscape

A 3-day series on permaculture design fundamentals, hands on activities, and a guided permaculture design charrette where you design your own landscape/property. On Saturdays, September 30 and October 7, from 8 AM – 3 PM. I will provide a workshop series on permaculture design fundamentals, soil building techniques, and ideas for small animals on an urban/suburban or rural lot. The 3rd day of the workshop will be Sunday, October 15, from 8 AM – 2 PM, where I will guide you through a permaculture design charrette for your own landscape/property. This 3 Day Design Series contains 6 topic areas. You may sign up for just one of the days or all 3.
Holotropic Breathwork Preview

This no-charge gathering with transpersonal psychologist Jay Dufrechou will provide a overview of Holotropic Breathwork, the world-renowned modality developed by Stanislav and Christina Grof and offered at Dancing Lotus Center on November 10-11th. In this two-hour preview, we will sample some of the music typically accompanying Holotropic Breathwork, explore some of the modes of expression common during full Holotropic Breathwork sessions, and learn some basics of Grofian psychology.
Dreamwork 101: Working with Dreams for Insight and Meaning

For eight weeks in the waning light of autumn, we will gather on Wednesday evenings to share the rich symbols and compelling narratives of our nighttime journeys. Each evening will include discussion of ways of working with dreams followed by in depth focus on one or two dreams, with group members offering insights into each other’s dreams as “if it were my dream.”
YTT 2018 Preview: Heart & Shoulders

Join Barbara Denowh and Caitlin McWilliams for a FREE yoga class to preview the upcoming Yoganerd Yoga Teacher Training. Barbara and Caitlin will lead you through an hour long yoga flow practice with an emphasis on opening the heart and shoulder mechanics. The practice will be followed by a 30 minute Q & A about the training.

Experience your inner healing wisdom and connection to spirit through Holotropic Breathwork, a powerful invitation into expanded states of awareness developed by Stanislav and Christina Grof. Supported by Grof-certified facilitators Jay Dufrechou and Kirsten Kairos, we will meet in community on Friday evening for introductions and experience two sessions of Holotropic Breathwork (one as breather and one as sitter) in a full day on Saturday.
