Handstand Flow Workshop

Whether you’ve been practicing for a few months or many years, this workshop will give you approachable steps to grow your practice. Come ready to learn how to handstand and how to refine your handstand. Come as you are! Beginning with a vinyasa flow and incorporating dynamic movement to heat up, we will explore our own strength, mobility, and playfulness. As we break down the challenges of handstand we will find freedom to move.
Creating on Purpose: Manifesting Thru the Chakras

Informed Beginnings Childbirth Series

Current, evidence-based information for those in the childbearing year. Positive, compassionate classes that strengthen confidence in the process of birth, while respecting the diverse needs and birth plans of students. The classes cover the processes of pregnancy, labor, birth (normal birth, variations and complications), breastfeeding, and the postpartum period; good health in pregnancy; options in childbirth; the role and needs of the birth partner; newborn care; informed decision-making; and resources and support.
Inner Freedom, Inner Strength with Alexander Technique

This workshop is about discovery: discovery about whole body coordination based on a healthy head-spine relationship, mind-body awareness and mindfulness in activity, breathing without interference, wholeness of being, and letting go to create space for something new. You’ll discover how to release unwanted tension and change unconscious patterns of unneeded effort as you direct your energy in a positive and productive way. This re-education of the whole mind-body self opens the door to freer and easier movement, effortless upright posture, improved clarity of thought and intention, and naturally overcoming pain, stiffness and stress. The Alexander Technique offers a way to care for yourself in all your activities so you will be able to apply what you learn to your work, sports and exercise, performance arts, rehabilitation, resting, and daily life.
Holotropic Breathwork Preview

This no-charge gathering with transpersonal psychologist Jay Dufrechou will provide a overview of Holotropic Breathwork, the world-renowned modality developed by Stanislav and Christina Grof and offered at Dancing Lotus Center on November 10-11th. In this two-hour preview, we will sample some of the music typically accompanying Holotropic Breathwork, explore some of the modes of expression common during full Holotropic Breathwork sessions, and learn some basics of Grofian psychology.

Experience your inner healing wisdom and connection to spirit through Holotropic Breathwork, a powerful invitation into expanded states of awareness developed by Stanislav and Christina Grof. Supported by Grof-certified facilitators Jay Dufrechou and Kirsten Kairos, we will meet in community on Friday evening for introductions and experience two sessions of Holotropic Breathwork (one as breather and one as sitter) in a full day on Saturday.
