Liz worked in the computer field for 22 years before returning to school to pursue her passion for helping others.  Liz obtained her Master’s degree in 2003 and has spent the last 12 years honing her skills in mental health both in the agency setting as well as in private practice.  Liz has advanced training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and in the interrelationship of brain, mind, and body.  With this training, her practice focuses on teaching mindfulness skills, self-acceptance and self-compassions, neurobiological education, and body/emotion connections. Liz believes strongly that with increased self-awareness and self-compassion life becomes more balanced and joyful.  In turn, the well-being of ourselves and those around us are improved. In her spare time, Liz enjoys reading, playing with her dog Ginger, and trying to keep up with her grandchildren.
